Everything we do in Scouting is centred around keeping the young people involved safe using good practice and careful planning.

We have spent many weeks preparing to get back to face to face Scouting after an extended period of closure. As a Group we have put several things in place to ensure the Young People, their Parents and our Volunteers are safe during these unprecedented times.

We have carefully watched the situation over the past few months and have learnt the lessons of other Groups who have opened successfully early last month. We now feel we are in a position to start reopening safely.

Part of our preparations have been the production of several risk assessments along with various adaptations to our building and the programme we will be delivering. You will find the latest version of our risk assessments below and we kindly request you read these and follow them carefully. It is essential as adults that we lead by example so that the Young people in our care understand how important these new measures are to keep everyone safe.

You can also read the latest Scout Headquarters guidance here: https://www.scouts.org.uk/coronavirus/

Each section will be in contact with you directly as and when they have the necessary things in place to do so.

Should you have any issues or concerns please raise these initially with your section leaders or alternatively contact me directly on info@2ndbishopaucklandscouts.org.uk

Yours in Scouting and keep safe
